Oh my goodness, Audrie! What a stupendous feast for the IC today!!! I could have just curled up inside this blog and lived for weeks! But alas, I have a noon wedding to attend and a card to make...I took my inspiration from this COLORFEST/69.
And my card is a case of ladybug91743's charming wedding card. I love, love her card!
I first began creating the hearts, which I used two different dies. Ran the bride's heart through the classic Cuttlebug 'textile' ef. Added vintage glass pearls buttons on the bodice along with an aqua paper flower (German vintage paper goods). 'she' is popped above.
The groom was created with a black pin striped paper from Basic Grey 'Little Black Dress' collection. I had cut a bow tie and added rhinestone buttons that were colored with dark charcoal Copic. Both sit about the shimmer panel that has been stamped with the 1st Corinthinians 13 Love scripture. This was inked with ColorFine black and embossed with SeaFoam dp. I added the Gelato Dove Grey over the top and wiped with a baby wipe. All placed onto an sea glass colored cs. The bride and groom's initials are added at the bottom with rub-ons...loved the thought their names cover the alpha ~a*2*Z~. A tiny border strip of German scrap draws the eye.
Gotta run now and get ready for the happy occasion...I'll be back later today and see what everyone has been inspired by! Thanks so much for stopping by. And to Marie-Alice...I appreciate your wedding card so very much.

This is beautiful, Susan. The colors and the border on the bottom are gorgeous. I love that scripture - my favorite! I did a "United in Marriage" cross stitch for our 20th wedding anniversary (in 1971) with this scripture on it along with our names, etc. It is quite beautiful and hangs on our living room wall.

What a beautiful wedding card, Susan. I agree, that Textile ef is one of three that I keep apart from all my others as a constant go-to one. I love the little buttons and flower, too. And the background is so lovely - soft and delicate for a great romantic touch.
